Hi! I’m Lara Rogers, a recent graduate from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, a minor in Design and Media, and an emphasis in Digital Marketing. After completing my undergraduate degree, I am continuing my education at UGA through the Emerging Media program, pursuing a Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication.
My academic background and hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and design have allowed me to develop a passion for creating meaningful digital experiences that connect brands with their audiences. Through my graduate studies, I am continuing to expand my skills in emerging technologies, storytelling, UX design, and digital strategy.
My admiration for marketing was first sparked in 8th grade when I did a week-long mentor program that introduced me to the world of marketing. From that moment on, I immediately knew that this was something I was passionate about. I looked around and saw my classmates bored out of their mind while watching one lady give a presentation about how graphic design and modern technology has expanded the field of marketing. However, I was engaged and interested in every word she had to say. She specifically worked on the product design and advertising side of marketing, which is what I immediately knew I wanted to do.
Upon graduation, I would love to find a job in the graphic design and digital marketing field that allows me to help individuals. Besides marketing, I am also extremely passionate about volunteering in my community. I was a Service Scholar and started a club in high school related to service learning and here at UGA, I am involved in Shop With A Bulldog, the American Marketers Association, in addition to being a Philanthropy Assistant in my sorority, Pi Beta Phi. I want to connect my two biggest passions with each other by either marketing for a non-profit organization or any other agencies where I can give back to others. My passion in marketing will allow me to give back to my community in a way to make a big difference!
