My abstract paintings celebrate the small, joyful symbols in my life that represent how I have become who I am. They are a homage to my wonderful parents who raised me, my grandparents who inspire me, and my friends who constantly push me to grow. Alongside the people who formed me, I also wanted to share some moments that have changed me. I share glimpses into my anxiety, the fear of not being good enough, and my optimism that keeps me going. I wanted this piece to feel whimsical and childlike to reflect my ongoing journey through life, while revealing just enough for the viewer to understand who I am. I chose a bright color palette that represents how I view myself with gold leaf spread about to represent the invaluable richness that I gain from my surroundings.ย
